Returns & Refunds

We make products we believe in. If something isn't right, we want to know about it and we want to make it right.

Wholesale & Studio Return Window

Wholesale and studio orders may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund or exchange, provided items are unused, in their original condition, and in original packaging. Given the nature of wholesale orders, we ask that returns are discussed before items are dispatched back — please contact us first.

We understand that you may need to unroll a mat or inspect a bolster before approving a full order. 'Unused' means the item has not been practiced on, washed, or used in a way that would prevent us from reselling it.

Items Eligible for Return

  • Yoga mats — unused, unrolled for inspection only, in original packaging
  • Bolsters and cushions — unused, covers not washed, in original packaging
  • Yoga blocks — unused, in original packaging
  • Cotton blankets — unused, unwashed, in original packaging
  • Yoga straps — unused, in original packaging
  • Eye pillows — unused only (hygiene item)

Items Not Eligible for Return

  • Any item that has been used, practiced on, or washed
  • Sale or discounted items — all sale purchases are final
  • Items marked as Limited Edition at time of purchase
  • Custom or studio-branded orders

Colour Variations

Our products are made from natural cotton with plant-based dyes. Colours on screen may vary slightly from the physical product due to monitor calibration and the natural variation inherent in handwoven cotton. Minor colour variation is not grounds for a return. If the colour received is significantly different from what was shown, contact us with photographs and we will find a resolution.

How to Initiate a Return

Email us at hello@modernyogi.co with your order reference, the items you wish to return, and the reason. We will respond within 2 business days with a return authorisation and instructions. Please do not send items back without a return authorisation — unrequested returns cannot be processed.

Return Shipping Costs

If the return is due to our error — wrong item sent, manufacturing defect, significant colour discrepancy — we will cover return shipping costs. If you are returning items because of a change in order requirements, return shipping is at your cost. We recommend using a tracked freight service for wholesale returns.

Refund Processing

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will process your refund or credit within 5 business days. Refunds are issued to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take a further 3–10 business days to appear. Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

Defective or Damaged Items

Manufacturing defects are rare in handwoven cotton products, but they do happen. If any item has a weaving defect, seam issue, or damage that occurred before or during shipping, please email us within 14 days of delivery with photographs. We will replace or refund at no cost to you. Normal variation in handwoven cotton — slight irregularities in weave, minor colour variation between batches — are characteristics of natural craft, not defects.
